who is the traveling esquire?

I am a lawyer. I am a journalist. I am a writer. I am a photographer. And I love to travel. So I decided to combine all of those loves and The Traveling Esquire was born. I have always been entrepreneurial in spirit. I have never taken the traditional path, but I hope someday to get there (wherever “there” is) all the same. I hope you enjoy my musings and will follow me on my journey.

Glamping, Tyra style. When @kampgroundsofamerica first reached out to me about a #hosted trip, I have to admit I was a little nervous. When I arrived, I realized that this deluxe cabin is nicer than most hotels. I could totally live her, if I didn’t have a bunch of stuff. It’s been an amazing experience, this “glamping” thing. I’ll definitely be back. .

Well, the time has come and today is the day. I am excited (but a little nervous) for this next adventure! For the first time, I am going "glamping." For those who don't know, this is glamorous camping and I'll be #hosted and partnering with @kampgroundsofamerica on a trip this weekend. I had no intention of going viral. Not in that way. 🙅🏾
I know you guys have seen those videos and articles about people getting snatched out of their safari vehicles. So before we embarked on our 2-day safari, I was sure to check out what type of vehicle we would have. Ours was enclosed with a pop up top so we could stand and take pictures and get fresh air. This is the way to go. It was the most amazing experience and I can't wait to go back! .

BUCKET LIST ACHIEVEMENT! 🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿 Have you ever done an African safari?

A few years ago, I was watching some special on Nat Geo Wild or something like that, and it was a special on The Great Migration in Ngorongoro Crater.
I was captivated. I was determined right then and there that I was going to visit that Crater. So I did. In November, I packed up my stuff and headed on my first trip to Africa to do a safari in Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater. Check out my recount of my first safari on the blog. (Sidenote: Hippos are really mean, apparently, so this was taken with a zoom lens. Because I refuse to go viral.)

On my business trip to Phoenix last week, the car rental guy at @alamorentacar asked me how lucky I was feeling. I replied "very lucky" and lucked up on a Challenger. These babies have some power behind them, let me tell you. Definitely the nicest car I have ever rented.
